What about buring 60 million dollars on killzone 2
sony will never make that money back

I forgot all about that but you are right, but in all honesty lets hope they do even though it doesn't look like it is going to happen.

I just read the last line "Microsoft burned a 50 million dollar hole in their pocket for nothing"

For all they know Microsoft is making a profit from the DLC ... I don't think it was meant to spur sales of the game or hardware this late on. More so when the game launched.

I was saying boo-urns.

If you ignore the fact that the $60 million figure is pure speculation and not proven fact to a degree there is the same consideration to be made as with the first DLC for GTA4.  Whatever the budget of KZ2 was, a large proportion of the cost would have been tool and engine development, these can now be used on future games and licensed to third parties to generate revenue.  I think it's almost impossible for that money to be considered a bad investment personally, sure KZ2 might not make as much money as Sony would hope but it should justify itself being created.

No.

I don't think it's microsoft's fault, good call imo. It's just that it's a pity Rockstar went and made such a boring game. I doubt many people who own gta4 will want to pay for more of the same. Many people I know who own the game havn't bothered beating it.

Funny, I thought it broke the record for being the best selling DLC on Xbox Live. Also Lost & Damned has only been out for 2 months, GTAIV has now sold about 7 million copies, and the game and DLC will continue to sell. Also when used copies of GTAIV are sold, that's potential Lost & Damned will be purchased as well.

Even if Lost & Damned bombed... who cares? That's only a small chunk of money Microsoft makes with Xbox Live.

I'll go on a limb and say you never played the DLC... in fact I know that you haven't because your comments if fucking retarded.  The new content may share the city and engine of the main game, but the entire thing is as diffrent as you can get.  It's got a pretty strong GTA:SA feel to it.  It wouldn't be going out much to say it's better thant he main game.
