Development probably began around January 2007 (a bit before God of War II came out). That would mean, in June 2009, it's been under development for two years and five months. There will be 9 months to its release.

There will be quite a bit to show. Some more gameplay, with the Titan feature. Improved graphics. The Cyclops riding. A boss battle, maybe.

 

Yeah thats what i mean.. its still got until 2010 till release day. So alot of improvements will happen from now until then. Thats why im saying during E3 we will probably see more gameplay and some improved visuals but nothing like what we will see in 2010. So if people judge GOW3 by what we see during E3 then i feel sorry for them when its finished in 2010. Its going to be impressive. Maybe not mind blowing (though i hope it is) but it will impress non the less.

It will be mind-blowing at E3, just like it was mind-blowing in March, and it will be even more mind-blowing in 2010.

God of War never disappoints (with the exception of the December 2008 teaser...yuck)

PlayStation 3 has certainly kicked it up to high gear in the graphics department this year. First party titles have torn the eyes out of gamer’s sockets and fed them back in high definition glory.

Just as soon Sony’s Killzone 2 had begun to set a new high water benchmark for console graphics, the gurus over at the Official PlayStation Magazine announced that Sony’s killer exclusive; God of War III, will be technically "leaps and bounds beyond anything the PS3 has seen to date."

Also Sony should just keep their head down. They may look silly at E3 this year if GOW 3 isnt the best looking Console game. Not only is Uncharted 2 in development but we all know M$ have splashed out for this years E3. They have to be planning something big, as well as stating they had first party titles beyond KZ2's graphics.

I just think Sony should keep their head down and just let games do the talking.

 

actually none of the developers of GOW have ever talked about being better than other games or used percentages this is all OPM and some blog

but I wouldn't be surprised if GOW III is better than KZ2 in graphics after all when GOW III is released (march 2010) it will be a full year after KZ2 and the Santa Monica studio is one of the best out there

If it does look better it will have absolutely nothing to do with being brought out later and everything to do with the amount of shit going on on screen.  One of the reasons that people were so amazed at KZ2 was largely in part to the fact that it did so much, but kept a high level of graphical fidelity.  However God of War doesn't have that strong of a brand name outside of the Sony fanbase.  A great deal of those unit sold were sold at the 20 dollar mark(GoW2 still sells well).  I don't expect that this game will do any better than KZ2 and the only reason it'll be close is because it'll launch with a larger install base.

rant time:  You guys(SDF) are sounding alot like the Xbots of last generation only you don't have the same reasons to.

It wasn't really negative... well maybe the the last part... but that's more a kick in the face of fanboys... it's funny that they sound so much like the Xbot of last gen, but there seriously isn't the kind of massive diffrence you saw between Xbox and PS2 games.
