South Korea Starcraft sales = 3.5-4 million

FF7 (best selling series) Japan sales = 3.93

The winner will depend on the system requirements for SC2. The lower it is, the more it'll sell. I would personally give the edge to SC2.

First week most likely Final Fantasy XIII...overall no doubt Starcraft 2...only a dummy would believe otherwise

StarCraft for sure if we're talking LTD. But if if it's first week then I really don't know.

SC 2 will sell the most overall, but ff should have the better first week.

XIII's sales potential is heavily limited by PS3's install base. Such a comparison is not fair.

Now, Dragon Quest IX vs. Starcraft 2 is a far better one.

 A Dragon Quest title in Japan alone can not stand a chance to a mighty name that would be StarCraft II in South Korea. Final Fantasy XIII fighting StarCraft II would be perfect.

Too bad we wont find out the answer for about 10 years. If Starcraft II is as successful as the original, it will still be selling in 10 years time
