Forums - Nintendo - FF:TCB Wii ~*~ DETAILS BLOWOUT! (60% COMPLETED, no leveling up & MORE)!!

Some more details from gonintendo.com:

- the conflict between Layle and Amidatelion comes when Amidatelion attacks a new passenger airship on an escort mission. Layle is the one heading the escort mission.
- actions within cities can change the way townsfolk feel about you (women fall in love, guards try to fight you, ect.)
- some sort of multiplayer mode using multiple Wiimotes to help/hinder Layle is hinted at
- no release date

Sounds like Super Mario Galaxy-style multiplayer. Cool beans.

This games smells worse with time.
I had no intention of touching the FFCC franchise again anyway, so I'm not disappointed, just conforted in my very bad opinions of these FFCC games.

Can't wait to get my hands on this.

100% open world
No battle screen
No random battles
No leveling up
Gravity manipulation
Context interactions and reactions

^These have my hyped.

A lot of these would be firsts for Square Enix, wouldn't they? Have they ever done open-world?

No they wouldn't. They did open world in Final Fantasy XI and to an extent FFXII.

The no leveling thing sucks. Big time.

By the way, I've just watched the latest trailer and the game is starting to get a certain FF7 accent I'm not sure people will like...

I think you mean FF6. Because this game is more on the industrialized part but has the typical fantasy elements that were gone from FF7.

Gakme looks awesome every time :D Layle is such a pimp.

I'm leaning towards FFVII more, too. Midgar? Shinra? Vincent? Mako Reactors?

Gravity manipulation and the interactions is a first at least.

No leveling is OK, it keeps the game from getting way too easy anyway. FFCC had no leveling but was still awesome. We're still gonna get hearts to raise your HP and stats, it's the same thing except you're not gonna see a number. Big deal.

Soriku, I would hope this one is quite different. It's the only Final Fantasy game that I got bored with within 5 hours.

I got a new name for it!

The Legend...of Final Fantasy.

Add me for Pokemon, New Leaf, and Fire Emblem, Mario Kart 8.

Manipulating gravity could be really fun!
