It's annoying, but if that's your biggest worry at the moment is someone is lying about what games they own, consider yourself lucky.

I for myself added a few games (some aren't released yet) just to save time. Most of them will be ending in my collection anyway.
But this way I can get rid of non-banworthy troll comments at a much higher pace.

How did someone have the time to add 20,000 games? It takes so long just to add even just one game.

Well, I'm guilty of it. I use my games collection as a part 'wish list' and do add games I'm intent on purchasing even though they may not be out yet.

Some others do as well. A 'Wish List' section would solve that.

So owning a Mac makes you think it is less likely to crash?  I am currently on the DS section of "her" game collection about 2 mins in and no sign of crashing although my crappy 2.67 ghz dual core , 1 gb ram is running a little slow now.

I don't see what the big deal is anyway. I really don't...but that's not something you can legitimately ban anyone for anyway. There's absolutely no way for you to tell me I don't own a game, even if I don't. You haven't been to my house or gone through my dresser drawer to find out what games I own.

The only way it makes sense is to ban (infamously unnamed VGC user)-type people who add every single game and cause problems with the site.

And that's even a stretch..I have to say I agree with (infamously unnamed VGC user)'s reason for doing it. But that's a story for another day.

In five years, I might have that much. Well when I finally get a steady job that is.. curently in University.
