Forums - Sony - FFXIII demo streaming now

The demo looked freaking awesome. I will most definitely be picking FFXIII up(as if I ever wasn't). The battle system looks great, although completely identical to WKC's(can't say who had the idea first). The battle transitions do sort of feel like a step back from FFXII(a battle system I loved). Seeing as you only control one character at a time two things need to be within the final build in order to make it fuctional...
-kill battle transitions and make it seamless/yet keep battle fanfare in which this demo lacks.
-make gambit like options so other characters will react properly.

Many people complained about these two things in FFXII yet its stupid to NOT have them otherwise the AI becomes unruley. Gambits simply gave you the options of completely customizing the AI to your liking. Their return is necessary for a single control type scheme.

Like I posted earlier in another thread, the Versus Trailer is underwhelming to me. Mostly because I have seen those clips already. Not to mention the last scene had no voice work and was in Jap subs. THe game definitely looks great though. THe graphics extend farther then FFXIII's ingame, that is for sure. The environments could use some more dynamic texture work though(you can tell they are flat surfaces). The game mostly excels at the character models. The hair is much more mobile and believable then FFXIII's.

I missed the Agito one :(
