Forums - Nintendo - Reggie promises a better E3 from Nintendo this year ... again

I lol at the people that blame Reggie/Cammie for their embarrassment of an E3 of 2008, but people are too afraid to blame Miyamoto/Iwata when they are actually the ones to blame (although I still respect them). It's just shooting the messenger what most immature idiots do without thinking.

I have to agree, I think they can only go up now.

After speanding 2 weeks doing damage control and making Cammie Dunnaway cry with the GIFs...... Is possible that Nintendo'll repeat the same mistake from the last year?

.... for the luz..

People aren't afraid its that miyamoto has made so many great games and made such contributions that he's allowed 1 mistake (wii music, even then - how much was he involved?) while Iwata deserves the upmost respect because he has probably ensured nintendo's survival for another 120yrs with his expanded audience philosophy and the Wii/DS. Reggie is also to blame seeing as he did say that core gamers should be excited by Animal Crossing. A great game but not enough. he built the expectations and then managed to crush them (with some help). At least iwata actually made an apology for E3. Reggie et al did not. Hence why most people, including me do not criticse Iwata and co.

Last year's E3 for Nintendo was pretty abysmal so I can't see them screwing up any worse this year. Then again I may be wrong

That's what people said last year about E3 2007.

I stand by my prediction that E3 09 will be much worse than E3 08. This time not because we won't be seeing stuff, but because we'll see stuff we don't like. People keep ignoring me when I say this, but I'll point them back to all my posts after we're through with it.

If you're a Nintendo fan, for the sake of your blood pressure and overall well being, I suggest you at least fasten your belts and prepare for take off. I'm warning you.

I'm expecting one good thing, so my hopes aren't too high...
(This can be a new pikmin, new mario, new metroid(not very likely), new ip, etc)

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

We can only wait and see, but the evidence points towards the positive, rather than the negative.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I haven't always liked what Reggie has to say (or the lack of saying anything), but I don't really recall anything he said turning out false.

I would mostly trust his statement of expecting something good from E3. However it is a bit self contradictory. It was proceeded with: "From Nintendo's perspective, we always go into E3 with a very high bar wanting to satisfy not only the core fans but also ourselves,". How does 2008's E3 fit within the context of that statement??? If Nintendo was satisfied with their effort in 2008, it does make me worry about 2009.

@ Mr. Khan

I heard that last year, well... i HOPE your right.

Based on track record I think the negative is more likely than the positive but hopefully Nintendo will shock me.
