Forums - Nintendo - A few Darkside Chronicles details: online mode possible?

http://www.nintendoeverything.com/?p=14124

These details come from the latest Game Informer…

- Main focus of the game is retelling events from Resident Evil 2/Code Veronica
- Will have a chance to take part in new elements starring Leon Kennedy in South America
- Possibile online functions: Preview puts the game at “Online TBA”

Online mode possible, eh? Hopefully it's more than just online co-op. Oh, and this (and every other online Wii game) needs to support Wii Speak, because right now the thing's just sitting on my T.V.

Ok, new story bits with Leon makes me slightly less annoyed. I don't know if I'd want online functions (outside of leaderboards) for an on-rails game, as it would just look like enemies were randomly dying, and wouldn't add a ton, in my opinion. IN a game like RE5, where you can both run around, see each other, work out tactics besides which gun to use, etc., it makes sense.

Although it would be nice as an option, I suppose.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

nosferatu fight with IR will definitly be awesome, i'm also waiting for a dodge intensive mr x fight just like the tyrant fight umbrella chronicles

Ohhh please let there be on-line co-op! That'll shift tons of people to purchase. Between this and Dead Space : Extraction, this detail will determine where the most money goes; I'll get both though

Just make it so you can see your partner's cursor too.

I just recently got RE: UC. Right now, all I want from the sequel is a smooth frame rate, faster pistol fire, and an end to the bullshit where if one of two players misses a QTE, both die.

Oh yeah, and why the hell is half the game single-player only?

I'm with you on the others, but a faster pistol would be detrimental here: the game is slower than most light-gun games, and letting you fire your (unlimited ammo) pistol at the same rate you do in House of the Dead et. al. would require some serious rebalancing.

Plus, part of UC's charm is that it rewards precision: the pistol can one-shot most enemies, but only if you're very, VERY precise, making it tough to do so by chance. A faster pistol would reward spray-and-pray more than I'd like.
