No, but we can compare it with the ps2 disc read errors - as widespread as the RROD, yet Sony told its customers to go buy another ps2.
Until they got hit by a class-action lawsuit and a court ordered Sony to change their policy.
No judge has compulsed Microsoft to extend warranties, they've done it on their own.
