Forums - Nintendo - So my Wii broke -- +1 for Nintendo Warranty...

Uh, well I doubt the refurbished Wii would also break. The likelihood of 2 Wiis in a row breaking is very slim I'm sure.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

wait... so if you call in and lie to them that your wii broke, and you can basically buy another wii at $200?
only if you have a friend who has one. They would want a serial number and address. Also ti comes with no cables and no controller.

For not having Wii Sports (a game you could probably buy on eBay for $10) and a $40 Wiimote, the system itself is pretty much worth $200.

actually wii sports still runs over 30 dollars on ebay, people aren't smart enough to call nintendo and buy one from them for $20

NOW A PUNISHER CAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

great support, really wow

i wonder if 360 would speed it up a hair if they didnt have so many? maybe cut a week or two

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

SD cards aren't terribly expensive, but if you factor in the time that it took to get in the car, drive to Target, buy the thing, drive home, and then do the swap, it was more costly as my time is incredibly valuable to me. Unfortunately I don't have any devices in the house that use SD. USB memory? Check. Compact Flash? Check. Sony Memory Stick? Got it. SD -- nope. Crap. I won't probably use the SD again so whatever price it was, even if 10 dollars, was a waste of both time and money.

The easy solution would be to bump the price to $230 and charge 30 bucks if they don't return the SD card. That way it's all right there. Regardless, the warranty service was stellar. I didn't have to stop playing as the system was still usable but noisy.

Sorry, I meant are NOT terribly expensive...

I hate trolls.

Systems I currently own:  360, PS3, Wii, DS Lite (2)
Systems I've owned: PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, Saturn, 3DO, Genesis, Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, GBA, GB, C64, Amiga, Atari 2600 and 5200, Sega Game Gear, Vectrex, Intellivision, Pong.  Yes, Pong.

Hmm, while I don't find SD cards that pricey (Heck, Microcenter gave me a free 1GB one for simply updating my address, lol) Nintendo has a fantastic Repair Service. I really have no complaints with them.

There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.

Some of you don't know where to be shopping for SD cards...

Granted, you don't get it right away, but I'd never buy SD cards from a brick&mortar store.
