Nintendo were extremely arrogant with the N64 and got murdered by the PS1, these kinds of things cause cockiness to die down quite alot. It's like Sony now with the PS3, they got so arrogant and paid for it. Success causes arrogance, I remember a pretty famous picture of Kaz with a powerpoint at the back saying "the console war is over"........because it truly was.

Next generation Nintendo MIGHT not be number one, I think they have learnt enough to know that being arrogant is going to bite you back in the ass one time or another. Reggie took a snap at Sony during GTTV because he can, anything changes and Sony will be on him like a bunch of rabid dogs.

They were as arrogant as kaz hirai. Remember the N64?

I had both a Playstation and N64 I loved them both.

They definitely have been more tasteful in their PR this generation, but that doesn't take into account past arrogance.

Reggie is arrogant, but in a non-confrontational way. He only made that snipe at Sony because he was prompted to say something, and what he said wasn't all that bad (just said he couldn't say anything nice. Not exactly the worst of insults)

They are accumulating that level of arrogance. Please don't make Nintendo out to be above corporate b.s., becasue they're not. Reggie sounds pretty arrogant to me lately.

i would say they do...possibly even well surpassing both other companies put together.
