Those charts are better. Wii has sold something like 4 million more than ps2 at the same time.

The most amazing part is that console popularity keeps on growing yet the PS2 released so many years ago yet did over 100 million. Had a console with the PS2's dominance released this generation with all the exclusives and games it had, it would have sold an incredible amount of numbers.

Don't say it's the Wii, such an insult to the PS3. :(

Pathetic how people try and hijack the thread and turn it into a Wii Vs PS2 war.

When the Wii has a library that is even one tenth as good as the PS2's, then come back. Until then, kindly GTFO.

Pathetic how people try to force their own opinions on others.

To many the Wii has a library greater than the PS2 had (at the same point in it's life) and to some, like me, the Wii library already matches the PS2s full life. I'm not saying you should agree.... but I think I could name a good 50 games for each console I would consider buying.... that's not including Wiiware, and I am discounting the VC as they aren't really Wii games.

That's 50 games out of the 2000+ the PS2 has had released.... I recently counted the number of games I would be interested in for the PS3 and X360, the sum of both together was about 20 including PSN and XBL titles (PSN I actually see more interesting games than there are full disc games for PS3.

not entirley no, the wii is roughly about 50.4 million it's just VG charts aren't really accurate have you noticed that they lowered the wii sales lately, once the wii was on 46million and they lowered it to 45 then they did the same thing again once more, and now again.   Nexgenwars shows wii has sold over 50 million.

I wonder if that goes to xbox 360 and ps3, PSP aswell. Still By now wii has defo sold 50 million or more, same goes with DS which I think has sold over 101 million.

Quite frankly no, just that I think I noticed when wii sales were lowered, ps3 and 360 figures were increased and furthermore I find most Nintendo fans on here, and that's one of the reasons I joined.

Do you know what that means? That means that the PS3 and 360 were undertracked, and the Wii was overtracked. So if anything, VGC is being pro-Wii. Numbers never stay static, Killzone 2's first week was adjusted down 20k, then up 11k, and started with Europe more than NA, and ended with NA slightly more than Europe.

The Wii is definitely not over 50 million... and I think it's quite foolish to trust Nextgenwars over VGChartz...
