Forums - Gaming - SEGA NEW RPG -Shining Force!

In the grand gaming tradition of announcing announcements, two new Japanese teaser sites went up today: One at Sega's official Shining Force site, the other at From Software's Armored Core portal. Both are scheduled to go live a week from now, on April 17.

What might they be for? It's probably a safe bet that the Shining Force teaser represents a console game, as the series' last outing was Shining Force Feather on DS. The smart money is on a game called "Shining Force Gear" for Wii, the existence of which was leaked several months ago on a subcontracted artist's blog. "Gear" is allegedly due to be released in September, 2009.

Armored Core is anyone's guess: the series' last game, Armored Core For Answer, is still fairly recent. From's antiquated mech actioner has been long due for an overhaul; let's hope it's about to receive one.

Wow, this game might actually be a good one. Is Sega back?

Sega needs to revisit its old franchises more often. Cult hits like streets of Rage and Chakan could be amazing next gen games...

for wii?! :D

I little late (http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=67669&page=1), but it is good to keep the topic bumped, even if it is through new threads.

Do want :D

Sega is having several RPGs this gen, i'm already excited with their project with Tri-Ace (i'm still surprised since they only worked with Square Enix)...

I hope it's a console game, DS has already the last one...

Just four more days eh?

Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

Shining Force is fun and all, but each time Sega announces a new RPG and it's not "Skies of Arcaida 2," I die a little inside.
