spamming is a bannable offense

I wouldn't call posting something twice spamming, and I am not sure but I think cursing at people on message boards is also bannable.

i think you need to rwad the forum rules.

And like I posted in other threads the reason I think the Gap was closed last month was because the 360 is having hardware shortages worldwide.

I know some people won't want to hear that but that is a strong possibility.

lol! You actually believe that!

he has been claiming it all week. and passionately arguing it

It is because of the PS2 that the PS3 is the first console ever to sell over 21 million units at a $400 price point.  Marketshare is irrelevant this generation, the Wii has already won it.  What has Sony lost other than marketshare?  They still get all of the third party games that the 360 has, in fact they are getting some third party exclusives, and they still publish outstanding first party titles.  So the 360 sells 50k more than the PS3 in March, big deal.  MS generated half the console revenues than the PS3.  In 2009 the 360 fans can enjoy their minor marketshare victories, and the PS3 fans will enjoy an outstanding gaming experience.  That doesn't sound like an epic fail to me.

LOL.

How about all its profit from the PS2, PSP. How about all its third party exclusives. Thats like saying Intel goes from dominating AMD with 70% market share to 20% marketshare+ losing tons of money Or IPOD going from 70% marketshare to 20% and losing tons of money. Sadly IPod makes money while PS3 loses. How is that not a fail???

So Dreamcast, GC and Xbox owners enjoyed their gaming experience too. And how is outselling your competition by over 8million Minor??

Atleast you admit that the only reason the PS3 could sell so much is due to the PS1/2 and its Playstation brand recognition.

Of course the success of the PS3 is directly related to the PS2/PS1, and the PS4 will be successful because of the PS3.  The third party exclusives were never Sony's to begin with, the only reason they were "exclusive" was because the PS2 had a dominant market position.  What do you think MS sacrificed to increase their marketshare marginally?  They closed game studios, and really haven't been able to buy any major exclusives.  The money that they could have spent on the 2009 game library funded the price cut.

If you want to talk about losses, let's talk about the 20 billion dollars the EDD has lost since its inception in 2005.  That doesn't even take into account the 9 billion the original Xbox loss.  MS has lost 30 billion dollars on a product that can barely outsell a competitor that is twice the price.

Wow you say so much without any evidence to back it up, from the news I heard on the internet Microsoft lost 6 billion on the origional xbox, and have lost 1 billion on xbox 360 due to RROD,  thats 7 billion not the 30 billion you claim, I will even say 8 billion for making the 360 and marketing, but 30 billion, LOL.

uh... your the one claiming shortages wheres your evidence

The things I mentioned was on the internet people should remember the shortages after holiday 2007, when microsoft came out and said they had shortages,

and people should remember the recent news of microsoft replenishing hardware in Japan back in september,

so please I ain't going to work that hard just to prove my point to a person that still don't even believe the company that makes the system.

someone else might but not me.

the last time I checked people claim things all the time in forums, so I am entitled to claim what I want.

and I am posting again for the people that missed it, I'm not posting every 10 seconds.

If you can't prove a point, then don't make one.

You really are shooting yourself in the foot with this argument. Be glad that Zucas, Khuutra, or Naz isn't here to argue with you. I'm nice.

Again, you are not entitled whatever the hell you'd like as truth. Because what are you doing isn't true at all.

The reason why I am not going to find the links is because Max won't even believe the company, so what is the point.

To be fair, the EDD has only lost 19.422 billion since 2005.  That plus your 6 billion on the original Xbox puts MS losses at 25.422 billion for the console.  I see your point, that's a lot better.

By the way, my evidence can be found here -> http://www.microsoft.com/msft/earnings/default.mspx

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

Look, the only case where I can remember the 360 in shortage was in Japan when Tales launched. It was hard to find and we have pictures documenting it.

Whenever they claimed the same in America before GTA launched (and was being outsold by PS3) they claimed the same. Those were refuted because no major retailer was out online and they were easily found in stores.
