Forums - Microsoft - 360 Doom and Gloom Thread

I posted this chart in another thread, but i felt i should share it with you loyal 360 thread users, and by that i mean all the PS3 trolls that haunt the Microsoft Discussion. If you look at the chart you will notice the lack of AAA titles that came out on the 360 between January 2008 and mid April 2008. Lost Odyessy was the biggest release on the 360 until GTA in late april. I don't know if you are new to the industry, but most major releases don't come out till the second half of the year. If i see another doom and gloom thread, i'm gonna crack...especially if its made by a Sony friend.

Oh well, let the sony fans have their fun now. Just imagine how fun it will be when they realize that even with "sucky 360 and awesome ps3 lineup" 360 will still have 8-10 million lead at the end of the year. :)

It is Doomed. Deal with it.

As long Xbox is ahead of PS3 in sales

I can agree with the overall premise to some extent.  The problem as I see it (And has MS fans scared and Sony fans salivating at the mouth) is at this late juncture there was plenty more coming out about the 08' MS lineup then there is this year about the 09' MS Lineup.   These things don't happen out of thin air, normally.   Normally you will see something or hear something.   So far it's been very silent on the MS front (For 09' atleast).

The only problem that I personally see moving forward with Xbox 360 into the future is that they do lack big ticket First Party franchises.  So while Halo is amazingly popular and practically drives tons of sales for the system (As does Gears),  There isn't a whole lot more to their strategy than that, IMHO.    Get good third party support and produce a few of our bread and butter games (Halo, etc).      The only issue as far as I'm concerned is the short-sighted nature of that for this current generation.    I mean feasibly if Gears of War 3 comes out in 2010...I think it's safe to say that the franchise is going to be milked pretty significantly this generation.      I just wonder what new IPs is Microsoft going to bring out?    This is one area where Sony has capitalized on IMHO.

Oh that's rich

Basically, if MS is smart (and the money says they are), they are doing a Nintendo and holding out on announcing games until they are close to ready for launch (they've received a lot of anger about alan wake afterall).

We'll know for sure whether MS are awesome at using others business strategies OR if they are truly out of their prime after E3.

Remember when Gears 2 was announced and when it was released people. Just because they don't talk about it the second they give the thumbs up for the development to start on a new IP, doesn't mean it's not there.

I really wouldnt worry.

Alan Wake is almost a given. Remedy say it's definately an 09 holiday release.

Alan Wake
Halo 3 ODST
Risen

And the possible Splinter Cell and Forza 3 are more than enough exclusive quality titles for my 360. :)

I think Fanboys forget the most important season for sales is the Fall through Christmas and Xbox has dominated them all but hey apparently Spring is where the sales are at!

What are you looking at, nerd?

Is that the mentality of ps3 fans?

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.
