I disagree with your opinion.

Mario Kart Wii > Mario Kart DD
Galaxy > Sunshine
Prime 3 > Prime 1 and 2 (Until I get to try the NPC versions, then it will likely be Prime 1 > Prime 3 > Prime 2)

The sad thing is that I believe the main guy behind the prime series died. And I believe the main guy behind the old metroid and super metroid games died too.

So Metroid may be dead for a while.

Another point I have to make is that it isn't as much Nintendo changed as it is the Market changed.  Nintendo always made a variety of ips.  In the old days, mario outsold games like track meet.  Now wii fit is outselling mario.  But that's not really Nintendo's fault.  They still put the game out there.  It is the fault of core gamers for not buying enough.

Look at Nintendos announced games...excitebots which has removed the more real world themed vehicles for kiddy image, Punch-Out which looks like it won't have online which is something core gamers will care about but even if it does...it is boxing, there isn't much to it and is easily casual friendly, then there is Sin and Punishment 2, a rail shooter.  Another simple casual friendly game.s publishers seem concerned.

This is your proof? Gotta try harder than that.

That is your counter argument?  I'll take that as my point won then.

When your argument is that weak (why should we be so shallow about Excite Truck, just because its a boxing game its automatically casual?, and Sin & Punishment is casual-friendly? Give me a break), it doesn't need much counter-argument. I assumed there was no point in logic from your response, and so responded with something equally illogical

Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

@ OP After you said that you spent several hours playing Friday the 13th on the NES I can understand how you went insane at an early age, and started to write posts like this.

If you wanna ignore the bulk of my post, only quote a tiny part, then not even fully read that part then I'll take that as a win.

There are a hundred boxing games all much deeper than Punch-Out. It is simple and casual friendly.

On rails shooter games are casual friendly, point and shoot. Please don't try and deny this.

Download Sin & Punishment, then discuss this again. As for Punch-Out, yes, it doesn't match other boxing games, but neither is it trying to be other boxing games. It is exactly what it is. But you seem to be set in this opinion, which is fine, but do not pretend that this is conclusive proof that Nintendo has been dumbing down games. Proof is what i asked for

Why would someone get banned on opinion, providing it isn't trolling or being abusive to another member.

 not you, the OP

What are you talking about?  It used actual trucks that resembled what you would see in the real world.    Call me mad but I don't see grasshoppers and ladybirds and such being driven down the streets.

..... Did you see these kind of things in the real world?

Yes back in my town cars can jump 200 meters from a hill and land without a single scratch on the paint.

I don't know what to say other than with games like carnival games 2 and wii sports resort and maybe FINALLY a north american release of wii chess (it was only release in UK for some reason) plus the dora and hannan montana games and even the new play control version of residnt evil (the first one) 2009 is going to be a stellar year for the wii that you are going to miss sorry to say.

prediction: wii to sell 150million console by end of 2010

Yes, but what do we know about Sin & Punishment 2? If we assume this game is at all similar, it's going to be hard. My point about Punch-Out is really one of goal-post moving, what exactly do you want it to be that you're complaining? And my point about proof is just that: there hasn't been any. Just because they've made the games less intimidating does not mean they've made them easier, and i see no proof of easier games. Just because Brawl is slower doesn't make it easier. I could pitch that argument against a lot of the more recent "hardcore" games where your player controls like a tank, nobody's complaining there.
