I doubt that. Those that accuse me of being Nintendo biased simply don't acknowledge the fact that I ban fanboys of all consoles. I've banned a Nintendo fanboy and a Sony fanboy in the same day, but that never gets mentioned when arguing about the mod bias. I honestly don't think it'll matter much, but if enough people want it, I'll make it.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

LOL, agreed.  But then, every gamer worth his salt should be Smash Bros. biased.  :D

Pretty much when ever i see folks banned i always think about this picture

It would be really nice to know why people get banned, if only so the rest of us would know where to draw the line in our own behavior.

Parroki, I think it's pretty obvious what will get a person banned. Be respectful of others and their opinions even if you think they are insane, and don't go into a Halo/Mario/GTA thread just to tell the fans of those games how much you think they suck. Being cool=no banstick

You shouldn't be concerned with where to draw the line. That just means you want to push the envelope and rile people up, but not enough to get banned. We all have our moments where we get fired up, but trying to play cat and mouse with mods won't win you any more respect than the people who get themselves banned. Be concerned with contributing and having fun, not seeing how far you can push things. :)

You mean you wouldn't know what kind of activities will get you banned? I thought we had a forum rules section...

Also, if you're an inflammatory prick who doesn't know when to pick his/her battles and control themselves, then you deserve to be banned. (Not talking to anyone in particular)

The reason people are banned in my experience is lack of respect for others. They berate them and constantly make flagrantly imflammatory posts. Unfortunately, this activity tends to align with the minority fanboys.

Yeah, ok. The next time I ban somebody, I'll make a locked thread to put names and explanations of why they have been banned.

That would be a great start. After that it should be quite easy to get a link from the "Banned" text.

It should be obvious, and yet we still have fanboys spouting off all the time and getting banned.  Having an official rules page that most people probably don't read is a lot different from having a public announcement when someone is banned.  The more that people are made aware that the moderators are, in fact, doing their jobs, the more they'll behave themselves.

the only problem I can see with having to explain reasons behind banning is that people will then complain about the reason.

I say just ban them and no need to explain to us.

It's me...  no really, it IS me!!!
