Good. It's about time. I hate laws that are in place only to protect me from me.

Free country means I get the freedom to fuck up my life.

I've always supported the legalisation of marijuana, so I hope this goes through even though it wont effect me in the slightest.

Yeah, the problem with legalising less harmful drugs is that it just drives it underground, when it could be controlled. It is no secret that marijuanas cut with horrid stuff and more potent strands are developed all the time. The only place where this isn't a problem is Holland, where it is legal.

When it is legalised it can be regulated and sold with some transparency of what you are getting.

It would also add a small economic boost as a bonus.

I hope marijuana and other mild drugs become legal one day, but it won't happen for a long time in the US (nor Sweden).

The drug industry is just too big, and it would be destroyed if drugs became legal. Too many lawyers, judicial institutions, customs, border controls, police officers, jailors, politicians, criminal organisations, the mafia, drug dealers etc make their living off of drugs being illegal. They will not allow their business being taken away.
