I think Ports of Call on my brother's PC was the first game I spent several hours on, but the game that really got me into gaming was MicroProse's first Civilization. Still one of my all-time favourites until today.

Hmm...let me think. When I was slightly younger, back in the day, I remember playing Super Mario Bros 3 for hours and hours. It was a ton a fun and I downloaded it for the Wii on the VC.
I would have to say that my gaming today was due to two games, Mario Kart Double Dash and Halo 3. I have always loved the Mario Kart series and Double Dash was awesome and friends and I had a blast playing that game.
It wasn't until I started playing Halo 3 did I like FPS. I started playing it because a friend of mine needed someone to play along side him. I would go over to his house and after I finally got my first kill online in multiplayer I was hooked. I bought the Xbox 360 and Halo 3 for myself. I now own a Nintendo GC, Wii, a PS3, and a Xbox 360.
The first games i really enjoyed were mario games... but the game which really got me in to gaming was crash bandicoot 3
for me it was super mario kart
N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!
bet with *no one yet* that the combined first week of Monster Hunter 3 in america and europe will be 600k or more! winner changes looser sig and avatar for two months!
I think it was duck hunt lol, or Teenage mutant ninja turtles for the NES.
I became almost obsessed with Driver for the PS1, even though I didn't own a PS1, I'd go to my friends house just to play that all day.
