Looks interesting, it may ONE DAY surpass GoW, but since it's a new IP and unclear whether it will have sequels I highly doubt it will stand a chance against GoW.

Also, I can already hear the bible beaters starting to whine about this game already.

I swear, they just decided to use the name because it has DMC connotations and "Inferno" allowed them to use the "badass" tagline, "Go To Hell"

I doubt it, people have been waiting for GOW3 for ages, and are hugely hyped for it so nothing should steal its thunder

it's developed by EA Redwood Shores (Dead Space). cool I liked Dead Space although they recycled and reused the same tick to make you scared over and over so you expected everything but a really good game non the less.

I still need to see some gameplay to know how the game would work but naming it GOW Killer or something like that is just stupid tbh

It should happen right after Ninja Blade kills God of War 3.

The only reason I'm thinking why not is if this game is good, it could sell very well on the 360, and on the PS3 as well.  Those combined sales numbers could than top the sales of GOW3, which is highly possible.  Of course, aat this point, the game is a bit of a mystery, and we've yet to see some game play, but the potenial exist.

Who the heck said anything about a GOW killer...freaking trolls need to take a hike...their is no current gameplay video on this title, so it's hard to judge if the gamestyle is much like GOW, but there seems to be the potential that it could be. The question was if it's possible that IF Dante's Inferno is realized close to GOW, it could sap some PS3 players to dedicate more time to it then to GOW...of course the very real possibility exist that if the game is good, it will outsell GOW, since last time I check, 360+PS3 sale usually present a bigger userbase. The same possibility exist for Infamous, going against Prototype...both are launching in June, and they are very similar in open world super powered anti-hero protagonist...they ARE going to clash....like it or not.
