Since MAG is one of those rare games with no focus on singleplayer (like SOCOM or the old Battlefield games), but strictly multiplayer, it needs to be absolutely top of the line if it wants to compete. We don't know a lot about the game so far, except it will be able to have up to 256 players in one match, and while the number is impressive, it certainly isn't everything.
So, if Sony want MAG to be popular, I think it needs to be on par with Halo 3 at the least, in terms of multiplayer fun. And it should definitely not have a monthly fee, or I doubt it will take off. But it also needs to differentiate itself through more than huge numbers I think. So here are some suggestions for what I think MAG should have:
- The ability to switch between 1st person and 3rd person camera mode. This could be an option when creating servers, to make an FPS only match, etc.
- Video recording and upload to YouTube
- Ability to take screenshots
- Massive Home integration (this should help the social aspect of both I think)
- At least two player splitscreen. I don't care what sacrifices are needed to make this work, splitscreen will be invaluable for a game like this.
- There should be a lot of options for customization.
What suggestions have you guys got?
