No All Seeing Eye mechanics? No puzzles with that device?

this guy has not played the game.

Because everyone MUST like the Conduit!

Just like everyone must like Killzone 2 ;).

Of course not. That game has been some much hate for every bit of hype.

He didn't play the game... There is no such thing as a lock on button. It's a button that shows the health of an enemy and you wont lose him out of sight(camera keeps tracking him), but it's not locked on like he says it is.

That is a lock on mechanic, it is the camera that locks on and not the crosshair.

Away from that, a lot of the complaints are shared by many HD FPS games yet they all end up fine so I wouldn't special attention to this one doing it either.

The entire FPS genre is cliched and done to death.

Except Battlefield with its new destruction mechanics.

He said that this system will help people that can't aim. I fail to see how this will help people that can't aim. They still have to do all the aiming. He describes it as if it's the same system metroid prime 3 uses.

@ Zucas

He didn't attack this game, he said it was cliched and uninspired. Please re-read the OP. He praises gun variety, competent multiplayer, Wii Speak support, controls, and graphics. But because he doesn't ride the cock of this game like it's the best ever, he's part of a hypocritical group of people. Get the fuck out of here with that shit.

Yea he did and that was the ONLY thing I commented on.  Let me repeat that again because apparently like you and the rest of humanity can't interpet what needs to be interpreted.  Instead they pick and choose what they want to be seen and comprehended instead of what should be comprehended.  I ONLY commented on how he thinks the game is cliche and uninspired.  I never said he didn't like the game or he thought the game was bad or that the game deserves some kind of respect.  I was actually ONE of the FEW when this game was first shown to say that it probably will be cliche and uninspired. I just find it funny that these media sites like to pick and choose which FPS games they want to call cliche and uninspired and which ones they don't.  People should bang on The Conduit for being that but no one did it for Killzone 2.  Why not?  Why is there this hypocrisy when it comes to shooters.

People should have done it with games like Gears of War, all Call of Duty's, Resistance, etc.  But they didn't.  Instead they pick on games like Haze and I guess now The Conduit.  They all have the same problem of being cliche and uninspired but they pick on the few instead of the whole.  They do the god damn same thing for RPGs as well.  Why?  That's the answer I'm trying to get.  Maybe some of those shooters aren't as good as the others and don't deserve the same scores or praise but they all deserve the same god damn level of critique.  That's what's fair and that's what's right.

That is the only thing I commented on.  If you weren't to full of your biased bullshit for once you'd maybe be able to tell that.  Instead you comprehended like a child and responded like one.  Read what I say don't interpret what you want to be seen.  Either do that or you get the fuck out of this thread and retake a comprehension course in logic.  I will not stand here and have such poorly constructed attacks based off one's self interests directed based off poor reasoning and judgment.  I know I deserve better than that.

I like you Zucas, having a conversation with you is much better than ovver 90% of the site, since you don't resort to attacks, but actually talk about the topic at hand, and I can respect that.

With that said...

Please don't try to act like your statement didn't totally negate all the good things that he said about the game...  And please don't hold him to the standards of what the rest of the industry does.  You can't try to call this guy out because this game is as tired and cliched as the rest of FPSes out there, when it's not his fault that other people don't say that about other games.  He doesn't review every game that comes out, so it's not his fault that the industry is that way, and it doesn't make the statement any less true, but it makes it tons less hypocritical since he can't control what other people say.

He says that it will "give less competent marksmen a fair stab at combat", and indeed not having to control the camera at the same time as aiming will help them. He never said that it elminates the need to aim entirely.

It's probably just a misunderstanding on this particular point.

"..." - Gordon Freeman

That's a possibility, but still doesn't explain why he said you need to pick up orbs to get your health back. The conduit doesn't use a system like that as far as I know of... Read all the previews, watch all the vids with the green health bar and you'll see that what he said isn't true...

I'm glad I read the thread before reading the article. A preview with factual inaccuracies is not worth reading.

There is almost no substance to this preview.

It basically is a tech-heavy pub Wii-bashing.

There seems to be a pattern to those.

If the controls work and the levels are good, why does the game reek?
