Spectral Force 3 is a pretty good srpg. As long as you aren't expecting super great graphics(they seem more like early-mid PS2 type graphics IMO) and stuff like that, I'd definitely recommend it, especially for only $20. I still need to go back and play my copy of it again.

Fable 2 is also an excellent game. I just cleared it about a week or so ago, but you can spend so much time playing that. I still need to finish a lot of the sub-quests and everything, there is so much to do. (I got distracted finishing up my solo campaign on Gears 2, but now that I've finished that I can go back to Fable 2)

Star Ocean 4, I just picked it up a few days ago, but so far it seems pretty good. I don't really like the camera controlling on it, but that may  be because I've gotten used to controlling the camera in Fable 2/Gears 2. Other than that it seems pretty good so far. I've only played about 2hrs into it so far though...

you could get the darkness and its real cheap

kind of a hybrid shooter rpg like deus ex or something

really blowing me away as im playing it, you can watch the entire film to kill a mockingbird on the tv in it, which is a neat touch and says a lot about the game

amzing graphics as well actually

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

Wii Friend Code: 4094-4604-1880-6889

Ninja Gaiden 2
Fable 2
Halo Wars

Crackdown, Shadowrun *I hear good things from friends* and The Darkness (Hated it because the controls were wierd as I was new getting back into console games, but it would be fine now I bet.)

Tease.

Geometry Wars retro evolved I & II, Braid, The Darkness, Ninja Gaiden II.

KuF CoF and TH aren't that good.

How are we supposed to take you seriously if u dont have Fable II, MrStick? Fix money for it, live a couple of days on bread and water, do whatever it takes.

Braid, Geometry Wars 1 and/or 2, Beautiful Katamari, Ikaruga.

All cheap and/or old and/or downloadables.

Not familiar with the 360 RPG scene though.

Fable 2 is the only game I would really recommend for you if you are looking for an RPG.

If you just want something cheap I would go outside of the RPG genre and take a look at Bioshock.

It is a really fun game and one playthrough will easily net you 600+ gamerscore.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

I liked Spectral Force 3, but i have a hard time recommending it to people. Its a standard SRPG with basically no story and only about 10 stages that get used over and over again.

See, with me, I am a huge SRPG fan, but never really have had the chance to play a lot of them. The last SRPG I played (that's a tried and true isometric RPG) is Shining Force for the Genesis (via Emu...years ago before VC). So my tolerance level for mediocrity in a SRPG may be pretty high.

And again, don't worry, guys...I am going to buy Fable 2. I'm just not sure I want to spend ~$50 on it now, when I could get TH and SF3 for $10 less.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
