Although considering the shipment and that 50% was moved, that's still pretty good.

Nice, I don't expect for this game to sell extremely well down the line, though.

I want it!

Semi decent start.
Probably would have sold more as a PS2 title though...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

I predicted 14 first day and 25k first week, will be interesting to watch.

Basara PSP sold on day one what previous Basara (Basara X - PS2) managed in its entire lifetime. Not bad.

Muramasa sales are not bad, 16,000 on day one is OK, not as good as Odin Sphere, but better than what some high profile 3rd party Wii exclusives previously managed.

I read an interview with Basara PSP producer (he's also DMC4 producer) yesterday, and he said he'll make more PSP games if this one sells well, so there you have it.  :)

I was close I guess, I predicted 20k for the week and that's what's probably going to happen.

As for Sengoku Basara, I was told to be instantly wrong when I predicted 100k for the opening week, people told me the max was 30k, guess they were wrong, it was obvious a game like this was going to sell on the PSP. I still say 100k, so we will see if it gets closer to 100k or 30k.

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Fullfilled Prophecies

Yeah, I was wrong about Basara PSP (30k first week), although I think I got Muramasa right (30k).

But in my defence, last PS2 Basara sold 27,000 first week, how was I supposed to know this one would sell 46,000 on day one?

Devs should stop releasing new core IP's or small core games for the Wii until there's a big core game released that can be able to draw in core gamers. They will keep on selling very poorly, it's their own choice though. Wait until MH3 releases or see your games sell badly.

Muramasa has an mediocre opening day. Not bad, but not good.

For something that's going to be frontloaded, 50% isn't too promising.
