your right... i was wrong it was last 5 weeks not 4... and its 4.5k not 4k... my bad so on average for the last 5 weeks 360 outsold ps3 by less than 1k a week

Ok my fault, I didn't realize the numbers where adjusted, but so far this year the PS3 has only meagerly outstold the 360 for 2 weeks in a row, and for the month of March 360 still outsold the PS3 by 30K worldwide, a small number I know, but the point is that the 360 still outsold the PS3 worldwide for the month.

Right, but is that really a victory? When your product is less than half the price of your competetor who, as you pointed out, is down YOY and you are only outselling them by a negligible amount, that's not particularly great.

Like I said before hardware shortages.

funny joke dude. wii doesnt even have shortages anymore

BTW - the ps3 is doing better than the 360 did last year and the 360 is doing worse than the ps3 last year

That is true but 360 has had a significant increase year of year while sony is decreasing slightly, but what really matters is the gap between PS3 and 360, which is widening not closing.

oh noes... a console who has been the same price for a year and a half is down yoy and a console that just got a price cut is up. oh dear me. whatever shall i do? (just wait till sep 360 will start being dow yoy too) anyway... at the current rate it will take 100000 weeks for 360 to increase their lead to 8.5 million

.........and remember this is the slow part of the year console sales always pick up at the end of the year, and at 199, 360 will make a killing this holiday season.

if your expecting a repeat of last year i think are going to be dissapointed. starting in sep the 360 will start falling yoy just like the ps3 did a year after price cut. i wouldnt be surprised if at 01/10 the 360 is actually down for the entire year.

It's a reassuring sign to see PS3 this close.

That's as much as I care to take from this all.

In another thread, multiple people chimed in that Microsoft is "almost getting crushed by Sony".  Things are so bad, Microsoft has to slash prices on their system, and they are DOOMED.  Anyone know what the heck that is about?  I am going to assume possibly sarcasm, but on here people say crazy things.

This is worse than a NY Post article that had a title that McCain was climbing on Obama, when McCain was flat, while Obama's support was declining.

If you have not noticed the VGChartz forum is very sony friendly. Just look at the topic number for each forum.

It is kind of a crushing, but MS are still in the better position and have done well this Gen.

Put it this way, if the PS3 was way cheaper than the 360, it would be outselling it by alot more than

More a reflection on how N4G tends to have more PS3 centric newsposts than 360 centric ones.

E.g. each week there will be a variety of "PS3 2009 lineup", "PSP back on track in 2009?", "Koller says...", etc.
