Could people who write good user reviews be considered for the review team?
Reviewed BioShock, Machina said it was an excellent review
^I own a PSP, but I hardly have any games for it...there's still a large percentage of the PS3's 318 games which are reviewless, and you mentioned that nobody is even working on CoD4...why such a low reviewer limit?

If you make a post limit it should easily be achieveable. 100 posts is dooable without spamming, but keeps people from just signing up to create spam. There are a lot of memebers here who have <500, but have been here for months and there is no reason to force them to spam to be able to use a feature.
If we made it a VG$ amount earned, then I wouldn't mind it higher, as a tiny bit of game DB work adds up fast.

Hmmm... now I'm debating which of my reviews to submit the application with.
EDIT: On that note, why can't staff write user reviews? They're still users. And many of them don't get to review the games they want to, because they're taken. I think every member (with more than 100 posts) should be free to write a user review)
Sorry I digress but..
@Kantor
Your comment on my Prince of Persia review, well lets just say its worded quite condescendingly and doesnt help me constructively at all. I would be happy to hear why you disagree and why you 'sure as hell wont give me a thumbs up' and offer something constructive instead.
Thats just the thing. I dont know whether this community is mature enough to know that reviews are opinions, and thats why the thumbs up and thumbs down makes it seem like you are meant to agree or disagree, when it should not. Why do people read reviews? To get info on a game they could potentially buy or they are on the fence on. So the rating should reflect how useful the review was in terms of info and help making their decision.

I was kidding. Was my sarcasm not apparent?
Damn.
EDIT: On re-reading your review, it's still not a thumbs up. Have a look to see why.
@Kantor
Thanks for your constructive feedback.
After having read radha's review, I really sincerely honestly believe that I covered everything in that review but more succinctly and really no offense intended, with more structure and better English. In my books, thats the definition of 'well-written' which is what people give thumbs up for. Its not all about the length.
Granted, I did miss a few finer details like certain combat options because I played the game some months back, and I respect your rating, but just giving my opinion on your opinion.
If anyone wants to chip in on this, these are the reviews Im talking about, happy to hear from anyone else.
