Forums - Nintendo - Fire Emblem is a difficult series, I don't know if you guys have heard

Also, I didn't know that there were special field conversations that units could have that weren't support convos!

I got special conversations (no support needed) between all the Lords, and then Hector and Oswin in the final battle.

Now I have to see the rest of them. I have to know.

This game is going to drive me insane.

I also enjoyed the class selection in Sacred Stones, but adding grinding killed the game for me. Also, it's the FE I wore out my R button on from checking enemy units and such.

Curse you, FE 8!

 Grinding? I disagree.

I finished the main story of FE8 on hard.

No grinding, as in the fact that I did never - not one single time fight a battle that wasn't in the story. It left the final game incredibly hard, but it was doable (without ever losing a character, except for Knoll in the chapter you get him).

I did some quick trips to the first level of Lagdou ruins, and I'm now set for starting Lagdou (did it).

Total "grinding": 40 min or so.

Of course, clearing the easy levels of the Valdi tower might increase that to an hour.

I've said it before, but I won't say it again. So I'm not gonna tell you that I've said that FE is the most addicting series ever before.

Edit: Awesome! I got Glen and Hayden

Are they worth using, or are they crap like most other pre-promotes?

Actually I'm also shocked about how FE7 handles the matters of homosexuality (not that there are any homosexual couplings) and ... I don't suppose it's incest, properly, but that sort of love between siblings. You don't get most of this stuff from a Nintendo game, but the conversations between Priscilla and Lucius alone.

Hah... You should play Fire Emblem 8. Eirika and Ephraim are siblings, but IS could have made them childhood (to present) friends, with their A support ending them as married without changing the plot a lot.

That's pretty fair! I think. It just struck me when I realized that Priscilla was jealous of Lucius because she thought he and Raven may have been lovers.

FE7 is the FE it's the longest since I've played, so I wouldn't really remember.

The incest thingy is kinda fair though. This is kinda in a medieval setting (it's not Tellus (or earth, I just prefer to call it Tellus), I know, but that doesn't matter a lot), and there was a fair bit of incest in those times.

It may seem odd to us, but it's actually realistic.

Indeed.  You don't need to grind at all to beat the game.

Just finished Lagdou ruins.

That was epic! It beats the heck out of the endgame, and it's pretty long too! (It's 10 maps long, the main game is 23).

No-one died, but it was pretty close. L'arachel is tied for my favourite lord now! (Despite the fact that she isn't a lord, her character is just that awesome!

I'm going to make a run at Hector Hard Mode, but I'm doing Lyn's Hard Mode first because I know I will really, really need those characters leveled.

Should I level everyone evenly, or only focus on a few? I know I'm going to want Lyn, Matthew, Dorcas, and maybe Kent to be as leveled as possible. I was thinking about Wil too, but I prefer Rebecca as a sniper for some reason.
