It's obvious that it's never a good thing if a rather big title doesn't come to a console. More games means more choice for the costumer means a bigger chance people will buy the console.
It's not just the quality of a library, quantity is very important as well.
N64 has a few of the best games ever. Unfortunately those few were about the only games for the system. PS2 had a massive library of everything you could think of, that's why it's the best sold console ever.
