Forums - Nintendo - Fatal Frame IV to be released in Europe? Yes. No. Yes. I'm confused

Reader Giancarlo gets in touch to add a little more fuel to the European fire. Giancarlo works at a GameStop in Italy, and he’s told me that his computer system shows Fatal Frame IV with a May 30th, 2009 release. On top of that, the most recent Italian issue of GameStop’s mailer shows Fatal Frame IV as being localized, but with the name ‘Zero: A Japanese Ghost Story’.

Can someone tell me what in the hell is going on here?

I would, but I think your thread title says it best.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that this game did indeed come out in Japan.

LOL, Nintendo said they weren't publishing in EU. This is after Tecmo had put out ads for the game in EU gaming mags.

The answer is that this game is coming out in EU, and it is being published by Tecmo.

That does it. Twilight hack+import friendly credit card = happy Wii owner. Screw NOA.

This really IS a very confusing dilemma. NoA says they don't own it, Tecmo recently declares it isn't coming in either US or Europe, yet GameStop Italy has it listed as Zero--A Japanese Ghost Story?

I wonder if it means that it WILL come eventually here, just under the new name "Zero" and by some other publisher than Nintendo.
