Fatal Frame/Project Zero 4 Not Coming To Europe
Tecmo has told us that Fatal Frame/Project Zero 4 will not be coming to the Wii in Europe.
Yesterday, we reported that Fatal Frame 4 would not be hitting the Wii in America, and tried to find out what this meant for those of us in Europe.
A Tecmo spokesperson told us "Tecmo's statement applies to both North America and Europe."
"Nintendo holds the publishing rights to 'Fatal Frame Wii', which was developed by Tecmo LTD. and Grasshopper Manufacture and released in Japan on July 31, 2008. Nintendo of Europe has since then decided not to publish the title in Europe - consequently, the title will not be released in this territory. As the owner of the IP, Tecmo feels very unfortunate that the fans of the series in Europe will not have a chance to play the game, but respects the final decision made by Nintendo."
Extremely disappointing, all told. We're a little confused considering an advert for the game which apparently popped up in a French magazine last month, so we've asked Nintendo to clarify the issue.

We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
