Forums - Nintendo - Which one is the better game Ocarina or SM64

I seriously believe is SM64 I´ve rencetly beat oot and it wasn´t that mind blowing as people say it is.Though it was really good

Super Mario 64 set the standard for 3D platformers while Ocarina of Time set the standard for Action/Adventure games.

Ocarina of Time is better imo though.

I like Mario 64 better.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Oot for sure mario revolutionized the gaming world but zelda ocarina of time perfectioned it!

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!

bet with *no one yet* that the combined first week of Monster Hunter 3 in america and europe will be 600k or more! winner changes looser sig and avatar for two months!

They're a bit different to be comparing, don't you think?

The reason I love SM64 is very different from the reason I love OoT, because the games play very differently and they give the player very different experiences and emotions.

Well theyre both revolutionary, I'd say Mario 64 more so.

But Mario 64 had some pretty bad camera issues and some bad control issues, Oot had..........some foggy backgrounds, I guess. So i'd say Oot wins.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

SM64.

Pixel Art can be fun.

This is like apples to oranges. (Well, maybe not such a drastic difference, but close...)

I think they're both shining beacons to their respective genres. If you were to tie me to a stake and have Captain Falcon kick me in the balls if I didn't choose one over the other it'd be...

Dang....

Uh....

.......

....Blast it. Just get it over with already Captain Falcon. I can't betray either game.

Person 1: Does Valkyria Chronicles have trophies?
Person 2:  No.
Person 1: Forget it. I'm not buying it.
Person 2: Wait! It's amazing! Unique, charming, drop dead gorgeous... Hello?

LOL. I think we really have similar game tastes, pokemon gold, etc.

We can't forget here that, while they're in different genres, they both revolutionized how we play 3D games, so the comparisons are valid.
