A price cut wouldn't change anything. It's not like people are waiting for a price drop atm - N need to capture people's interest with new, exciting software. I don't know what they were thinking, honestly. It's been months since they released major titles.

I agree. The fact that Wii Sports isn't bundled with the Wii in Japan is mind-boggling, to me.

I agree. What's the point of dropping price when you're getting outsold by a console with a higher price point. Price isn't the issue. It's the lack of compelling software. And once again, Nintendo is almost alone in creating compelling software for thier system and not able to meet the demand of hungry consumers (like in the GC days).

However I'm sure MH3 and DQX will be big boosters, once they arrive.

He said that, but I don't see anything being done in the near future to force a change. WSR is coming out in 2 - 3 months and I'm sure they have SW that's ready. They treated consumers like they were ignorants, that's the truth. And 3rd parties craped on the Wii this whole time. If Nintendo knew 3rd parties weren't going to release shit, why the hell didnt they step up and at least try to fill the gaps with some decent software. You cant sell a console with 6 year old ports, no.

 I agree with that.  I've been saying for some time Nintendo needed to bump that up to an earlier release window - at least in Japan - to avoid Wii becoming 'old and boring' to the general public.    Either that or release some other mid - big game(s) in the meantime.

But this is Nintendo and as always, they move at their own pace.  No game will be release before it's fully ready, and in a way I'm grateful for that, but it may not be the best business move in this case.

Good thing is that atleast they acknowledge the problem that Wii is not selling the way it should be.. so i m sure they r going to come up with something exciting for it in E3

Well, after releasing game after game for the Wii in the first two years, they were gonna run out of games to release for a while...

Remember, real good games take a long time to make and release.

And with 3rd party companies releasing either crap, or games w/o brand names on the Wii, while releasing their sure-fire hits with brand names on the HD consoles, the Wii is going to hit some real turbulence soon.
