Forums - Nintendo - In Retrospect: What do you now think of Iwata's GDC 2009 Presentation?

Um, what? The Wii and DSi have a SD card slot.

Around the Network

Considering that GDC is an event for developers, not fans, it was very nice.

-The storage solution everyone had been clamoring for (and a stylish one, at that!)
-New Zelda game
-Rhythm Heaven
-My Life as a Darklord
-FFIV: The After Years
-Arcade games on the VC
-The Final Fantasy games on the VC
-Many little DSiWare applications

Not bad at all. I really want to see what they have for us at E3, though I won't get my hopes up monumentally like I did last year.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

It's not even one month since GDC and you are doing a retrospect view on Iwata's GDC speech already? Would make more sense if you wait after E3 or later.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

I'm fairly certain he meant that he hoped the successor to the Wii also had SD card slots so that we could easily transfer our current VC/WiiWare games to the new system without having to download them from an online shop again. Transferring from an SD card is way faster, especially for people with slow internet connections.
