In all seriousness though, fanboyism/fangirlism is certainly not limited to gamers. Do you visit gaming websites more than anything else? If so, maybe that's why it seems more common. Defensive fanlosers are EVERYWHERE.

People are defensive because people are defensive, seriously it is an escalation thing when 1 person gets all pissy it causes others to do so.

That's one of the reasons I like this site, its still here but so much less and we can acually have pseudo-intelligent conversions about our hobby.

I know i get sick and tired of stating my opinion and people(specifically microsoft fans) attack me like i'm talkin crap about the 360 and personally i just don't like the system

They are just insecure about themselves. Say something like "game X is kiddy" or in some cases it is enough not to like their system of choice and those insecurities kick in.

I dunno it's as if having your own opinion is a mortal sin that can't be accepted or forgiven...like when you prefer a specific console fanboys call you stupid, ignorant for doing so they even call all the ppl who bought a different console then they did Dumb F**** (as if their the GODS and shud follow them and like what they like as well.)

It is called loser denial. No matter what system you barrack for. You spend most of your time playing video games or on game site forums.
