Green was only available in Japan and is identical with Blue of the West. In other words, Japan got Red/Green and the rest of the world Red/Blue.

You sure would have been cool in your childhood if you owned a game that is completely in Japanese.

Rol's correct. I only included it because it was included in the OP, otherwise I wouldn't have mentioned it because Ble and Green are esentially the same.

they're fun. for me, i like that every generation has some new quirk which adds to the strategy of the series. ruby and sapphire is my favorite generation for the series though

Pokemon is fun.
Pokemon is an awesom RPG.

@Rol - eh, learning Japanese just to be cool? I don't know whether or not I could've been arsed with that.

I did, however, show everyone up when they all got Gold and I got Silver, they all had some fuck-ugly turkey on there box art, whilst I had a flying seal.

And, after all, isn't that what man has yearned for since the dawn of time? Flying seals? I know I have.

One of my friends did pick up Crystal when it was released... I cut him good, though*.


*With HM01, of course, in a battle.

i think they should get one version only.

when i bought gold and silver when i was a kid, i thought it was going to be 2 different games!.

The multiple versions are to promote the trading. You each have access to different Pokemon at different times.
