PS3 is holding well - who'd have thought it?

Wii definate slump, but globally they're still miles ahead and they can take time to sort out the local market

360 - holding above 5K, what else can you say? If ToV and other titles really help PS3 though I think MS is going to struggle big time in Japan. Without exclusive content, particularly known jRPG content, there seems to be nothing else that will help - and I think the PS3 is gaining enough traction in region now to make developers very leery of committing to 360 exclusively with such content. If SO4 gets a bow on PS3 I'll be very curious to see the local reaction.

On the handhelds I continue to be amazed how the market can support two platforms so well. Mobile gaming is clearly a massive part of local culture right now. PSP might seem dead outside Japan, but it's clearly a vital platform there now yet without denting DS either - amazing.

Looking at the WW totals so far, unless there is a drastic change in the Americas, looks like its business as usual with the SD > HD sales. As for Japan, it seems the market's dried up there. I'm sure that FF13 demo and MH will spark things up again.

Lol, you guys talk about the PS3 being so successful but still the Wii passed it in sales worldwide and even passed the PS3 + 360 sales combined hahaha. What next, the PS3 sold 100 consoles in Cuba while the Wii stuggles with only 10 sold lol.
