Forums - Nintendo - NoE says no Fatal Frame IV in Europe

from gonintendo

North American readers, are you still trying to get over the fact that Fatal Frame IV isn’t coming to North America? Well our European friends may soon be dealt the same crushing blow. Word has it that the title won’t even see release in Europe.

Reader discipleinagony has gotten in touch with a Greek product manager has said that the game hasn’t popped up on any retailer list from NoE yet, which definitely doesn’t point to anything good. On top of that, NoE has just issued a statement to SPOnG that says “there are currently no plans to release this game in Europe.”

This is one of those things that Nintendo fans should be extremely riled up over. If Nintendo is going to tell us that they support the core, then they need to give out a detailed explanation as to why Fatal Frame IV isn’t going to be localized.

Maybe they feel it won't make back the money it costs to localize.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Ok now Im fucking pissed. What the fuck Nintendo.

Why are people so obsessed over this game? It's not even any good.

Bad game + bad sales = easy choice to not localize.

you got the game?

Duplicated from the other thread:

Which makes sense, because Tecmo, not Nintendo, is the one who's putting ads for Fatal Frame in European gaming mags.

Note that Tecmo's logo is in the ad, but Nintendo's isn't.

According to whom? Reviewers?

What may be "no good" to some may be "great" to others.

Just because it won't sell by the bucket load doesn't mean Nintendo shouldn't bring it over seas. We all know they have the money to do so.

If I am also not mistaken, the other games all made their way across seas and I also heard this was the best selling one yet. So this easily makes fans think "WTF?".

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Makes no sense considering how much money Nintendo is making in the console business. Especially when Sony/MS are willing to take hits to get a good game out to every region.
