yea, Reggie said that it is up to Tecmo, and Tecmo said it is up to Nintendo. Obviously there are some communication problems going on somewhere.

 

 

Sounds like someone needs to own up. From what the Tecmo rep said, it sounds like Nintendo owns the publishing rights but refuses to publish it and refuses to allow someone else to do it. We'll see if that's true, as it seems wierd that Tecmo would want to withhold this game from NA.

edit: Maybe reggie is telling the truth, and so it tecmo. Does NCL hold the rights?

tecmo isnt in the best financial posistion. they even made microsoft publish ninja gaiden 2. where as nitendo really doesnt care about getting exclusives.

I didn't put any words in your mouth.  I'm seriously asking what new image you speak of?  It would make sense that on the topic of not publishing an M rated game you would be talking about a family friendly image.  But that is no where near being a new image though.  So I was wondering what image you do speak of.

Maybe, I still don't think that's a probable reason though. I still think they didn't want to bring it here because they think/know the games will flop.

I have posted this also a while ago. I firmly believe Reggie doesnt want any big media company to go out and call Nintendo out on trying to corrupt children in America. So they are taking the safe route and will only publish E games only. T or M games haven't been published since Brawl, and there's none coming up. S&P2 looks to be next but considering the recent games Reggie and NoA blocked from the USA, S&P2 looks to be the next one. Even if it was already announced for the USA, so was Disaster.

What is this theory? I have seen plenty of M games licensed by Nintendo.
