Forums - Sales - Have Madworld's legs begun?

I would wait a bit longer before you try to define legs for this title. Maybe week 7-8, not week 3.

hard to say, given the fact that the largest area, the US, has already seen MW drop 75% in 3 weeks.

EU may prove to have legs, but the NA legs aren't there...Yet.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I know that I just picked it up for $40 Canadian at Wal-Mart, but lets wait a few weeks to see. Still, SEGA's happy with the sales, so anything past this point is just gravy.

I believe they said they're happy with the sales they've seen so far. The representative said they were happy with the "first batch of sales" or something to that effect. I wouldn't say the game has met sales expectations yet. I'm curious as to how much this game needs to break even, also considering price.

Clover/Platinum, never change.

Great games, shitty sales.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

Well see next week when the Sales from next week come in, and it falls because it's not 1/2 price anymore.

If American sales is an indication, then the game has zero legs.

The game's tracking above Okami and substantially above No More Heroes for the same time frame.

Yes, it had a price cut and those games weren't particularly huge, but it's something.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Suspect its stabilisation in the UK owes to the dramatic pricedrops.

Reckon it could be bordering on sub 10k in a couple of months. No idea tho. Just a random stab in the dark.

whats so bad bouts the pal version?

Hmm, wrong.

No More Heroes was released in America only 7 weeks after Japan, thus by pitting 3 weeks of Madworld against it, you're only seeing that it overtracked the Japan-only sales of NMH.

Region per region or shifting the data you'll see that Madworld is actually selling less than NMH, even if you only count NA+others.

Oh, and there are no data for Okami except NA, it seems.

If it can maintain sales in NA (the drop from week 1 to 2 is big but 2 to 3 not really big) and if it can get price drops eventually it will have long legs. But now 6 hours for $50 just doesn't work.

Exactly.

People are thinking of value here. Once it gets to that $27.99 price point, maybe people will buy it more. A $24.99 would be low, but much better for what you are getting.
