I still love PES, but I'm switching back to Fifa.

PES is too easy now, too.

Also IMO FIFA08 is better than FIFA09, but both beat the shit out of PES2008 and PES2009

Not that I want to sell you Fifa or anything, but give it a bit of time.  After years of PES the game naturally feels awkward, but if you try a bit you will discover that Fifa is nowadays a much deeper football game than PES.   When I try PES now it just feels on rails and mechanic, whilst Fifa is much more organic.

Apparently 2010 will be built on a brand new engine, so fingers cross it'll play well and look good.

hopefuly it'll have a stable online mode as well, I hate Fifa 09 online. I went back to playing it after I quit for a year, the timing is off because of lag, so basically most players run down the pitch with their fastest player (usually ronaldo with man u) and then pass it off when they've drawn the keeper or they'll shoot themselves. It's pathetic.

They said that about 2008 that it was designed from the ground up for HD consoles...It sure as hell wasn't!

I do hope 2010 is the game we want it to be, but that is wishful thinking. Based on the last 3 years.

I've been playing PES since the 3rd and it has been my favorite football series (for me FiFA went down the hill around 2001), And we still play PES 6 with friends at Uni because PES 08 and 09 are dissapointing, 09 surely looks pretty but gameplay is flawed (AI makes so many stupid tackles for example).

Fifa has been really bad over the years, but 09 version is great, much better then Pro Evolution.

PES 08 on the Wii on the other side is great, and aparently 2009 have improved that game a lot, i wont buy it this time since ive got no money, plus Konami does not really treat Wii owners seriously, releasing game at the end of march.

I can't get back on fifa no matter how much i try to. I was a die hard fifa fan until i got my taste of international superstar soccer on the PS1 (the precursor of PES) and since then i haven't switched back. I ve played almost 30 hours of Fifa 09, but it feels so silly in comparison with PES.
The long passes are based most on luck and not skill, the movement of the players on the field is really akward, and they move like a tank, even the fastest players. Oh, and the one-two movement? Really bad programmed on Fifa.
Even though PES has had it's faults in the last two games, in my opinon they beat the hell out of Fifa. The only thing that Fifa has above PES is the full licensing of the major leagues (my Portuguese league as well xD) and the one player mode is superb in comparison with the one in PES, other than that, i prefer my PES ;)

For me, this is PES's last chance, if I didn't hate FIFA's sluggish gameplay after getting used to the silky pace in 5 and 6 I would have already switched back, but they better make this game damm good, and have the chelsea licence

You do realise that toilet water sells at a much higher volume, and earnshigher revenues than even Wii Fit, which due to its expensive, bulky nature has probably got the highest amount of volume and revenue for a console game ever??

fifa sucks too. it has slightly better graphics but the controls suck, your defense sucks, the goalkeeper animations still suck, goal celebrations suck, the snes backgrounds are a joke, etc.
