I'm trying to access the internet.. .but when i do the Internet Connection test, a message of

Duplicate IP addresses exist. Check your DHCP settings.

 

What is that???? What should i do?

Alright well how about unplugging your router and modem? Wait 30 seconds, plug your modem back in, wait for it to full start up, plug in your router, wait for it to fully start up, then connect the two together, and then try connecting with your DSi?

Extremely rudimentary and basic plan, but it works on most of the problems I've ever had.

 

I don't like beer either. I was a part of the old Beer boycott, but one day a few months later I came to VGChartz and realized that Rol and everyone else had taken it out of their sigs. It's like I missed the memo or something. It was a sad day.

It's an IP address conflict with some other internet thing in your house. Try setting static IPs on your router for each of the devices you have.

you have to log into your router from your PC. You then choose the device and specify the IP address you want to use for it. Without knowing the make/model of your router he can't really help too much.

typically the IP for a device will be 192.168.1.x, where 2




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Basically, the error means that your router thinks you're trying to use the same IP as something on the network already. I got it at my parents place when I first tried to get online but never resolved it unfortunately.

If you don't get any help here, you could try calling Nintendo's tech support.

Ok, so if I turn everything that uses internet... that could solve the problem???

If not... i would have to do it manually
