I don't know how mac works but on windows you just copy/paste from wherever its stored on your pc to the SD Card, make sure to look in the DSi's manual as well as you need to have one of three specific filename extensions otherwise it won't work, the manual will also tell what bitrate and sample rate the music should be at for it to work. In the uk manual you'll find this info on page 47.

Thanks but I mean how to I put the sd card into my computer to download the stuff onto it. Sorry, Im not really sure how to word it.
If you don't have an SD card slot on your computer, you'll have to buy one that plugs into your USB port. You can get them dirt cheap.

Can't the DSi sync wirelessly to a computer to transfer data? I know it's possible through third party applications, but does Nintendo allow it themselves?
What kind of computer depends! If you have a port for sd cards, put it in and just copy the music on. The format is MP3. If not, you can buy a usb media card reader and put the card in that, then you paste the music on the card and put in the DSi. Hope this helps. Media card readers are usually 20-50$ each. Sorry!
