...why do atheists even care? if there is no god, then its not exactly gonna hurt anyone if people believe there is one...

Equally, why do some religious people feel the need to try to indoctrinate people without faith or convert those of another?

well for starters the bible says to go and make disciples of all nations...

I'm not offended by it because I am an atheist. Also I found it quite funny.

I'm not offended by religious advertising either. How can you be offended by something that doesn't exist? Religious advertising makes me smile, but not because it's witty or humourous.

I think atheists feel the need because they care about the truth.

Ok, that's their point of view, look at it from the other.  If a person honestly, truly believes there is no God, there is no afterlife, time spent worshipping is time wasted and therefore what you do in this life from day to day is all that there is, wouldn't you feel compelled to try to make people understand your point of view?

'That's a pretty good ad. Thanks to the word "probably" you can't smack it as being offensive. The second part of the ad is pure marketing gold. People need to be reminded sometimes to just let go of their worries.

But i always wondered why religious people go making claims that hese kind of ads are offensive. I might as well go and file a complaint that the weekly sermons on Sundays are offensive for my family but we somehow are smart enough to let go of the subject.

I mean if there's freedom of speech and belief then it goes for everyone, not just christians.

If i lose access to this profile as well....I'm done with this site.....You've been warned!!.....whoever you are...

Happy Wii60 user. Me and my family are a perfect example of where hardcore meets casual and together mutate into something awesome.

Well, I certainly don't believe in a god or gods, so I am not offended by it. Every time I walk down the main street in my city lately it seems that I get lambasted by three or four groups of people with an amplifier and mic telling me I will go to hell if I don't accept Jesus. I hate it when people say that to me or in general, they don't know me. This is a far less offensive method than that IMO.

I'm all for it.

Do you not see it as bad as them though? atheists are pushing their view onto others, just like the preachers in the street. I have a religious friend to also hates those people, mainly because he doesn't like the whole pushing religion on people but for them to come to accept their faith on their own.

I don't see it as intrusive to be honest, there is a difference. I agree it is the same basic principle as the guy in the street, but if the church started a bus campaign it would bother me because it is not some guy screaming in my ear.

So... your ok with an atheist bus campaign but not ok with a religious one. Isn't that hypocritic?

Read the post next time.

I am OK with a religious poster, but when some guy comes up to me in the street screaming that I will go to hell for not accepting Jesus I find that offesnsive.

I would feel offended if an atheist came up to me in the street and started screaming at me too.

Bottom line - It's OK to advertise, but please don't go out your way to scream in my face, because I wont want to play nice.

I'm not offended, because atheists are right and religions are wrong. Being an educated, born in 1991 in Canada, young lad, I've had the wonderful opportunity to be an atheist, thank heavens.
Now if some kind of wack jesus ad was on a bus, I'd sue my government. Humanity's main goal in the 21st century should be the great diminishment of religious everything, because christianity, like other religions, sucks. Outdated, outmodded, unfashionable trash.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
