Forums - Nintendo - What kind of game would you make for Wii Balance Board?

Huh but don't you walk with the nunchuck in RE?

You have to walk with the balance board right? If you use the two Wii remotes for shooting :s?

no, I said a rail shooter, like time crisis, umbrella chronicles, house of the dead.  The game progresses through the level for you.

I agree with you though, if the board had to be used to walk it would be retarded.

Skateboarding and snowboarding games could definitely be lots of fun. The balance board is a cool idea.. but WiiFit is just stupid.

Tony Hawk, SSX, FIFA/PROEVO, on the rail shooters (like time crisis)

Kinda agree... Thing is, it feels like the Wii Board will give out a ton of new ideas but no body is yet to have any good idea... Hopefully, when the Wii Board comes out there will be a game that incorporate an element as well as Zack & Wiki to Wiimote. (I know it's not out yet, but if I'm having a misconception about something, please point out)

I'm an ALIEN!!!! - officially identified as by Konnichiwa

As gay as it might sound I think a dance game, like an improved DDR, would be kind of cool.

No way. The balance board is not designed well for DDR, in my opinion.

You saw the dance game for Wii Fit right? Slow and boring as hell, right?

I suppose it could be faster, but it requires you to step on and step off, repeatedly. It would not be an improved DDR at all, just different, that's all.

The balance board is much better for...detecting balance than it is for rapid movements on the front, back, left and right of it. At least, that's the impression I get.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

@Fagarcia, Woops I didn't read 'RAIL' shooter (that is why I thought lookig up and down with the balance board would be stupid).

@Tabsina: HUH? Fifa?

Ace Combat-The old controls are dead in the water. This series needs to be on the Wii, and I think the balance board can handle the flight manuevers. Weapons would still be controlled by buttons on the Wiimote.

Katamari/Mercury Meltdown/Super Monkey Ball/Koroinpa series-Just roll your feet around to make the ball move in different directions. To jump, just stomp the board.

Pinball-Have the left side be the left flipper and the right side be the right flipper. Stomp to tilt the table.

Zelda on horseback-Use the board to control the horse while freeing up the remote for the bow and sword.

Tetris-Stomp to flip the piece and slide side to side or down to move and increase speed downwards.

Wii Music(drums)-Use the remote and nunchuck for drumsticks and the balance board as the pedal.

Racing-The pedals...obviously.

I'll think up more later. I believe there's a lot of potential in this board. Not eveything I mentioned would be the ideal way to play each of those games, but as one of a few control options, it might seem fresh to play that way. If I can think up this, and others can think up theirs in minutes, imagine what the right developer can do with it.

Drum simulator...left side for high hat, right side for kick drum

Rofl your comment reminds me of the Wii fit parody XD.

@Onyxmeth,  Sorry but controlling a airplane with the Wii balance board would be kind of
crap =s. Then you will get something like Lair and the Sixaxis.

And about the pinball thing , how would you flip both flippers at the same time?
