Forums - Sony - Sony PS3 named most environmentally friendly console

And the wii was named least envriomentally friendly console, go figure. By the way, this was all done by Greenpeace

multiple sources:

this may have been posted before, if so, sorry

I wonder why - it's the highest electricity chugger, while the Wii is the lowest.

Wow, ignoring the power usage... The Wii uses very little power even on standby. Doesn't the PS3 use as much power as the Wii when its considered by most people to be off?

Tease.

I think it has something to do with how they recycle the plastics and with what materials they build it with and how efficiently they build it etc.

EDIT: lmao, if you look at the picture in that second link I posted, Nintendo is behind a whole bunch of companies

Hold on, the PS3 takes up a pretty hefty amount of electricity in a home. >_O

1) This has already been posted
2) Sony being named more environmentally friendly than Ninty does not mean the PS3 is mroe environmentally friendly than the Wii
3) This ignores things like power usage
4) Nintendo got bad marks not because they're environmentally unfriendly, but because they don't give info out to Greenpeace

So no, there is very little that you said that is true

oh, well sorry for posting this then

oh, and to darkhaven's comment: If there's a console that you need to open the windows for it's the 360...not trying to start anything, I'm just saying, I find the 360 runs a lot hotter and louder than the ps3

This has already been posted twice and it's not about which console is the most environmentally friendly, it's about which company has the most transparency in it's environmental policies.

listen, can somebody delete this thread before it turns into a huge flame war

lol, sorry I ever posted it

This same thing was out last year...

It's about the companies and how they manage their waste, yearly..

Not by the console.
