It's basically saying that once you put a Bluray drive in the machine, the added cost to make the machine play Bluray movies is practically "non-existent."

I think the person who gathered this list of quotes misread that as saying the Bluray drive's total cost was non-existent which isn't what the quote actually says.

yea but why is that worth defending, that is just idiotic common sense. no shit after putting in a blu ray drive that making that blu ray drive able to watch movies won't cost much if anything. its what a fucking blu ray drive is supposed to do

Common sense isn't so common and it is always worth defending.
