Kasz's scores are very surprising lol...

Not really. It's simply a matter of knowing that other countries universal healthcare would be more disaserous to the current system and we need a unviersal healthcare system that's run differntly along with a general reduction in government spending to implement it. Rather then a general increase in taxation to do so.

No, I meant you had results that don't reflect your posts. I just thought it was amusing that's all... No need to twist the knife

I disagree.

There is an old saying "some things are only worth doing if they're done right.

It's easier to add programs then it is to cut back on spending.  So it makes more sense to trim first and add second.

Stop, stop right there. You're trying to start a debate where one doesn't exist. Just let people take the quiz and post their results.

Around the Network

Conservative/Progressive score: 4
You are a social moderate. You think the progressive movement is overall well meaning, but sometimes it goes too far. On issues like abortion and affirmative action, you see the negatives of both extremes on the issue. You probably value religion, but at the same time you think it should still stay separate from the government.

Capitalist Purist/Social Capitalist score: 8
You are a Moderate Capitalist. You support an economy that is by and large a free market, but has public programs to help people who can't help themselves or need a little help. Pretty much you believe in the American economy how it currently is.

Libertarian/Authoritarian score: 6
You're a Moderate. You think that we all have certain inalienable rights that must be protected, but that sometimes laws need to be made to protect the majority's lives or quality of lives. You might think that the 2nd amendment isn't necessary anymore because letting everyone a gun is extremely dangerous to the community. You might also be against illegal drug use or public pornography because of its possible harmful effects to society.

Pacifist/Militarist score: 1
You're a Pacifist. You are angered that the United States thinks it should dominate the world through its military force. You think that the only time war is necessary is when we are in direct danger of being attacked. You also believe the US spends way too much of its money on defense, as we can practically cut it in half and still easily defend ourselves, and use that money to fix all our economic problems.

Overall, you would most likely fit into the category of Moderate

---------------------------
Your score is 4 on a scale of 1 to 10. You are a moderate Democrat. You agree with Democrats more often than not, but have misgivings about some of their positions on key social issues, as well as their ability to defend the country. You remain supportive for now, but if Democrats keep moving to the left and taking their cues from people like Michael Moore, you may decide to jump off that crazy train.

Sorry, you need to know that poster. He follows Republican ideology like it's Catholic Dogma. On top of that, he's going to Harvard (or some other prestigious Ivy League school).

I'd like to think people are given the opportunity to think and those that are educated are given the luxury of think.

But, then again, some people are just fucking stupid and enjoy their trivial little lives.

Me Harvard, you have to be kidding me.  No I attend George Mason U in Fairfax VA which is a state uni nothing fancy.  I am not Catholic either.

Sorry, I confused you with another Republican mouthpiece.

Conservative/Progressive score: 0
You are a social conservative. You believe in traditional values, and care first and foremost about your country, your family, and your religion. You dislike the agenda of the left because you see them as trying to destroy these things.

Capitalist Purist/Social Capitalist score: 0
You're a Capitalist Purist. You believe that the market should be completely free, and that the invisible hand of the market will make sure that the people get what they want and will do it in the most efficient way possible. You believe in small government, less taxes, and more privatization.

Libertarian/Authoritarian score: 8

(I am not ) You might also be against illegal drug use or public pornography because of its possible harmful effects to society.

Pacifist/Militarist score: 10
You're a Militarist. You believe that since the United States has so much power in the world, it has a responsibility to keep the world safe. You think that if the US does not exert its power in the world, it may eventually lose its power, and that we can not look weak in the face of terrorists, and must take them out where they live.

Overall, you would most likely fit into the category of NeoCon Republican

I find it shameful that an educated person would score that high or low on any objectivity test... After all, isn't the entire education system laid out so that people can think? The belief that years of education makes you think just like everyone else around you is frightening.

I scored 4/10, BTW.

It's impossible to think critically about something and come up with your own ideas, and end up leaning strongly toward either end of the political spectrum?

It's not impossible but given the insanity and theoretical duality of the American political system, it's highly unlikely.

hmm... this doesn't really reflect my actual views (apparently it ignores the stuff you answered maybe to), but here goes...

The following are your scores. They are based on a gradual range of 0 to 12. For instance, a Conservative/Progressive score of 3 and 0 will both yield a result of social conservative, yet 0 would be an extreme conservative and 3 a moderate conservative

Conservative/Progressive score: 2
You are a social conservative. You believe in traditional values, and care first and foremost about your country, your family, and your religion. You dislike the agenda of the left because you see them as trying to destroy these things.

Capitalist Purist/Social Capitalist score: 2
You're a Capitalist Purist. You believe that the market should be completely free, and that the invisible hand of the market will make sure that the people get what they want and will do it in the most efficient way possible. You believe in small government, less taxes, and more privatization.

Libertarian/Authoritarian score: 3
You are libertarian. You think that the government is making way too many unnecessary laws that are taking away our innate rights. You believe that the government's job is primarily to protect people from harming other people, but after that they should mind their own business, and if we give the government too much power in controlling our lives, it can lead to fascism.

Pacifist/Militarist score: 7
You're a Moderate. You think that in very rare occasions, the United States should invade a country in order to make the world better by spreading democracy or ending a tyrants rule. You also think that defense is very important, and we shouldn't lower the defense budget. You think that, while the Iraq War probably was a mistake, that we can make the world a better place by sticking with it and spreading democracy in the middle east.

Overall, you would most likely fit into the category of Hardcore Republican

EDIT:

The first link he posted gives a more accurate picture of my political views:

Your score is 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. You are a solid Republican. You are not as fiercely ideological or uncompromising as others in the party, but nonetheless remain a reliable supporter. If you could have your way, you'd like to see Republican leaders take a slightly more pragmatic approach on certain issues – and dial down some of their nakedly partisan and bitterly divisive rhetoric.

Your score is 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. You are a moderate Democrat. You agree with Democrats more often than not, but have misgivings about some of their positions on key social issues, as well as their ability to defend the country. You remain supportive for now, but if Democrats keep moving to the left and taking their cues from people like Michael Moore, you may decide to jump off that crazy train.

lol.

Your score is 5 on a scale of 1 to 10. You are a moderate. You agree with Republicans on some issues and Democrats on others, while rejecting the blind, naked partisanship of both sides. You base your vote on issues rather than ideology and principle rather than party, which makes you the quintessential swing voter the media loves to fawn over.

What I expected...

May the fetus you save be gay... best bumper sticker ever.

I scored a 5/10 on both the Republican Loyalty and Democrat Loyalty quiz. I guess I am a moderate. Even though I sway more towards the left.

Your score is 3 on a scale of 1 to 10. You are a solid Democrat. You are not as fiercely ideological or uncompromising as others in the party, but nonetheless remain a reliable supporter. If you could have your way, you'd like to see Democrats leaders take a slightly more accommodating approach on certain issues – and dial down some of their nakedly partisan and bitterly divisive rhetoric.

Pretty much what I expected, 3 or a 4.
