I'm not a fanboy, merely someone who bought a PS3 because he enjoys it.
And as if I care whether it's the losing console? I enjoy its capabilities and its games. That's all I need.
Besides, if one should buy the winning console, everyone would own a wii and ds.

It all depends on the library it offers. Sony published games don't have outstanding sales and the 360 at this rate offers the same 3rd party games. If the PS3 can gets a price drop the 360 will get one as well. Its kind of a stalemate.

That has nothing to do w/ the lifespan OR the quality of the games..... there for has nothing to do w/ ur argument.....
The life span will depend on profits,nothing more, Xbox,Saturn, and Dreamcast ended because they were were losing tons of money with no end in sight. Xbox 360 is at least breaking even at worst and at best making some money. The PS3 made $4 million last quarter including the profits from PSP and PS2. If the PS3 itself is tanking a crap load with no end in sight, Sony will pull the plug.

Are you really believing that most console owners are actually able to see a difference between those games ? I'm not talking about the minority that nitpick every single flaw a game has, I'm talking about the casual gamers(they are the one who really make a difference in console selling). The differences between the two versions are usually barely even noticeable to us, why would someone, who doesn't even care about that to begin with, notice it and say : ''Woah, XBOX IS MORE POWERFUL LOLOLOL'', when they aren't even aware that they are different.

True, but sony themselve have said multiple time that the PS3 was set to make a profit this year. Why would they get rid of it when it is actually starting to become profitable ? It makes no sense.
No,Sony said they were focused on profits so no price cut. It doesn't mean it is or will be any time soon. I'm guessing it lost a lot of money last quarter when the announced the game division made $4 million in profits. That includes the hugely profitable PS2 and the slightly profitable PSP.
For comparison, nintendo made $2.4 BILLION in profits last quarter. Yes BILLION!!!!
the 360 will be around for a few more years as long as the emoncey
is in the dumps.its not going no where.. we wont see the next xbox till 2012.

Terrible reasons. X360 is NOT cheaper than PS3, purely because of the Xbox Live subscriptions (which are a huge rip off).
