i used the invincible code just before i decided to help the allied nations in mercenaries 2 and after i beat the game, i couldnt get the trophy for beating the final mission,beating the game and vertifying all hvt's. so thats 2 trophy i didnt get, has this happen too anyone else before?

Although I have never played that game, I do believe cheating does negate the trophy. I have heard of other games doing that

A lot of 360 games negate achievements if you use cheats. GTAIV and Crackdown both did, so I'm assuming the same works for PS3 games.

It depends on the cheat and the achievement/trophy. For instance, GTAIV's bridge achievement isn't negated if you use the cheat to get the helicopter, instead of getting it legitimately. And again, in GTAIV, if you use the cheat for full ammo, it won't stop you from completing [most] achievements. Don't use the cheat for full ammo + full health, though - that one DOES affect most achievements.

It basically depends on if the cheat directly affects you getting the achievement/trophy or not.

Yea. On GTAIV. It even tells you which trophies get disabled...

I knw u can't cheat in GTA4 but idk about M2

quick question: why would u want to cheat to get an achievement anyway? I understand if you can't beat the game or u beat it already but want to play through with the cheats because its fun....you wouldn't be achieving anything if you got the achievement by cheating
