Forums - Gaming - I just finished Resident Evil 5 and was it just me or......?

It's just an action game now.

4 ≈ One

Around the Network

I liked RE 1 2 3 and 4...

To be honest, I dont know what kept me going in RE4..I know it was very different to 1-3 but i liked it quite a lot even if i didnt like it a much as 1-3....RE5 just felt different to 4 somehow....The atmosphere in 4 was better and i think it was that difference that made RE4 more enjoyable...

Predictions

GT5 will sell 3.2million + first week on ps3 (made 06 March 2010)

FFXIII Versus will have higher Metacritic scores than FFXIII after the first month.... Bet going on with perpride - loser changes sig for a month

KH3 will be PS3 EXCLUSIVE - willing to bet removal from vgchartz for a month

It's sad that they made Resident Evil into another generic shooter, the days when i jumped out of chair because of dogs crashing through windows or Nemesis is sadly gone

Well its nothing wrong with liking what you like but i think its just nostalgia reasons for 4.  It was something new and a first time for a lot of ppl with the over the shoulder view.  Now over the shoulder view has been done a lot and RE5 didn't improve on it.  Now if RE5 use the wiimote they could have done some fresh ideas by controller.  That could have made the game more special and rememberable.  Its hard to get that first time again with anything.

have you ever played the original RE games? , you can finish them without shooting anything except bosses. you cant rely on guns at all , since your ammo is limited and its a "Survival Horror" , the new RE games you get attacked by dudes and you have to shoot them to continue , thus making it a "Shooter"

this is a Survival Horror game ...

THE GAME IS NOT SCARY!

Huge let down for a person looking for a new game to scare the crap out of him.

But the co-op! It's all worth it. Most of the time the fights may leave you clueless on how to end the damn thing, but that's what I liked.

Seriously.... The last battle was a drag. It goes on forever if you've done the wrong thing. That thing won't stop until your dead. Which is seriously a bitch! I like getting pissed off.

Haven't tried playing this alone since I bought the game just to play with my cousin. Although I know it's going to be a drag to play with an AI in some parts that it has to be well executed or has to be damn precise just to make a progress. I don't wanna spoil the story so I won't say which parts.

I thought it was pretty good...played co-op with friend and finished it I find it pretty sweet altho it's not a survival horror game any more like it used to it's more like a TPS now.

Please don't remind me... I was traumatized. Playing RE2 hooked on a loud stereo scared the crap out of me.

Priceless scare I got was:

Tyrant crashing through the window of a narrow (conferrence?) room. That made me drop my controller and learn not to pump the volume that high.
